Life’s too short to have boring walls…

Add textures to your space like the Soul of Gerrigong

We simply can’t even deal with the NEW range of designer Framed prints that have just officially landed onto the virtual shelves of the Design Twins online store!!!

OBSESSED is an understatement!!!

This may be because framed prints have the ability to completely TRANSFORM your home without the crazy price tag of Original Artwork! They will not only brighten a space and introduce character, they also cleverly create a view where there wasn’t one before (you too can have ocean views of Bondi and Byron now!!!)

When it comes to styling your home, a print is usually the icing on the cake, that finishing touch that completes the area and brings it to LIFE.

So, here is a few things to remember when choosing one your new print…

If you have a relaxed style Hamptons beach pad (invite me over because that sounds awesome) and I will bring our favourite hk living bar stools! Also introducing an Australian Fine Art photography print, such as this beauty from Danielle Cross  ‘Swell’ or ‘ LA days’ and you have ocean views and palm trees without the crazy price tag!

Scandinavian inspired homes with Mongolian sheepskin throws can be complimented with images of nature or beautifully graphic prints that will capture you eyes and create a talking point for guests. It really is all about adding personality! (am I sounding like a broken record now? I hope not.. Just want you to be adventurous with choosing the right print) 🙂

Take into consideration the current interior styles in your home. If you have a Scandinavian inspired home you can introduce something monochrome and simple to compliment the clean lined minimal furniture such as the nordic buffet or Ethnicraft range from Globe West.

Be sure you pick a print that will work cohesively with your existing pieces, like that amazing Globe West Sofa you just bought! 😉 Ocean Breeze II in the home of Not So Mumsy, which was designed by us! Check that post out here!

Picking a size is oh so important, be sure to take into consideration the size of the wall you will be placing it. If your print is too small you could be left feeling slightly underwhelmed and if its too big you may find yourself overwhelmed.

For a space like a hallway or above a bed or sofa a large horizontal print would be ideal or even two next to each other. Where as at the end of a hallway in a more narrow area a vertical print is ideal. In bathrooms a smaller print is only necessary as you do not want this to overwhelm the area but still create interest and open the space up.

Even wall art to compliment the Framed Print such as the Ahoy Trader tiles by Jai Vasicek. What’s your favourite print? We would LOVE to know 🙂
